description of nightcore for the radio

Post by Zurd » March 10th, 2014, 3:50 am

If you check a di.fm channel, there's a short description of it in the middle-right. We also need one for the Nightcore channel. Here's my suggestion, we need to vote on one.

1. Faster. Happier. Electronic music at its best!

2. Faster and more happier sounds for your listening pleasure!

3. Faster beats and high-pitch vocal for the sweetest tunes!

Suggest a new one or modify these!

I think the original Nightcore group described nightcore the best.
...techno/dance music into faster and more happier sounds for your listening pleasure!
Edit: Whoops, saw you had a similar suggestion (#2 in the OP). I vote for that one, but I think we need the "techno/dance" part in there as well.

I think the second one is the best so far. I like they way it quotes the original band.

#2 it is then.

I think adding techno/dance would be kind of limiting since Nightcore can also be eurodance, hands up, happy hardcore, etc.

I have been listening to eurodance on di.fm for a few days, so many originals of good nightcored songs can be found there.
I also think eurodance and hands up is essentially the same thing as wiki told me, maybe there are minor differences but idk.
I think the dance part in techno/dance means eurodance (and italodance?). Happy hardcore, this one is a bit tricky as it is already very fast so can't be too fast or the vocal would sound too "hurried".
189.2 BPM

175 BPM

Only 8% sped up which is small consider the orignals are 25%.

Italodance nightcore

High pitched s3rl songs below
https://soundcloud.com/mixie-moon/night ... st-s3rl-ft
https://soundcloud.com/mixie-moon/heaven-2
https://soundcloud.com/mixie-moon/night ... ed-s3rl-ft

The second song is ok imo.

Maybe
Faster and more happier techno/dance for your listening pleasure!
?
But the "techno/dance" kinda giving a feeling of uncertainty for me.

Edit:
Verdict:
Faster and more happier sound for your listening pleasure! is good enough imo.

Yeah, I guess so. I suggested that because I didn't want listeners to think that any genre (such as rock or hip hop) can be nightcored.

The radio will be on www.di.fm go take a look, it's for electronic music only :)

Ah, okay. I take back my suggestion. I think the actual music itself and the fact that it's on an electronic-only website will be enough to convince the listeners. Good luck with the new station!
