Jumpcore- Stepmania

Post by LonelyLittleAngel » March 16th, 2015, 9:30 am

I've been actually working on this project for a while now. Its a simfile pack containing a lot of the dancecore genre. It is a pad pack for all the padders in this small community. It contains pad jumps and pad streams for the people who have a lot of stamina out there as well.
I am right now coding up a project page for the simfiles as well. Will be up by the end of this week.

I'm actually trying to get into stepmania, I'm planning on building a pad somewhere in this month.

why build when there's some deluxe 1 inch foam pad on the internet at a cheap price? I still have one and it has a usb/xbox/psx adapter on it, works really well

but you go faster with socks on a foam pad than with shoes on a metal pad :)

It's not about going fast in my opinion, I just like being about to jump a meter into the air while thrashing your pad.
I'm also a bit on the heavy side, I actually haven't seen a foam pad before. I don't want to commit money on it without trying it :x

Building one will be quite fun but will cost more. You can jump on a 1-inch foam pad, they're quite sturdy. Their only problem is that after a few years, the plastic will get rigid and will crack, you will have to patch it with duct tape. It do takes like 5 years before this problem arises though :)

I'm going to play a lot of DDR tomorrow at a convention. Those metal pads are really awesome ;___;
