You can never say you watched Clannad until you've watched the last episode of After Story. Clannad is definitely my favourite anime (the best I've ever seen so far). I laughed and cried a lot with it. It really teaches you the concepts of "life", "friendship" and "family"...
Sure, after watching Clannad, your point of view of life will change.

PS: If you haven't cried enough with Clannad, I suggest you to watch also these other masterpieces: Kanon, Air and AnoHana. I guarantee you'll love'em. <3

I just read the description on animefreak.tv and it sounds very cool! :) I'm gonna start watching it as soon as I finish Code Geass (I'm on EP 10 of R2) because I only like to watch one anime at a time.

I'll put this under a Spoiler Tag, but this is how the series went:
1st Released - Clannad the Movie
2nd Released - Clannad
3rd Released - Clannad OVA: Tomoyo Arc
4th Released - Clannad ~After Story~
5th Released - Clannad OVA: Kyou Arc
I watched them all the way they were released, still want to re-watch the whole thing, Movie not included. :D

I've noticed some strange connection between the Irish language and Clannad. Chlann / Clann means 'Family' in Irish
