Most of you thought I would never praise anime again after explaining how the South Park episode Chinpokomon made me practically hate anime.

Well, when I was growing up for me this wasn't so much of an anime as a regular cartoon. [It's grouped as a cartoon on ff.net anyway...]
ANYWAY.

AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER
Not the movie cause it sucks balls.

My ALL TIME favourite 'anime.' I actually just started re-watching all the episodes recently...and was reminded how much I love it. <3

What are your opinions on it? Love it? Hate it? WHY?

I don't get how the Chinpokomon episode made you hate anime?
It's funny xD
but I'm still watching Gurren Lagaan <3

The movie hasn't been released here yet, but the acting looks bad.
Yeah, I watched all the episodes on Nickelodeon :3

I liked it too, it's different and has a different twist to it
than the usual storys based on the elements.

But but but! Sokka! He's funny! And Zuko...I love him.
Like the time
Spoiler: show
when his uncle was captured by earth benders [out of a hot spring], and he tracked him down..and they fought the earth benders together...and then he's all like "Now will you PLEASE put some clothes on?"
Cause it was just such a funny/cute moment. He stopped chasing Aang to save his uncle!

I hate hate hate Katara...she is a bossy bitch... D=

Another character I really hate...
Spoiler: show
is Jet. That fucking rebelious against the fire nation, old man hurting, not caring about drowning a whole bunch of innocent people, son of a bitch. And Katara and Aang wanted to help him...Sokka didn't though.

And those are only spoilers from the first book! -gasp!-

I saw the series too. They were quite amusing to watch. I liked they way they could express subtle jokes etc.

As for the movie, I understand it is hard to fit in a story of something like 20 episodes in only 90 min, but still, it Sucked (capital S).
I am easily satisfied regarding action/scifi-movies, but this just didnt do it for me, I get more thrill from filming a gold fish.

But maybe that is the problem... I knew the actual story it was based on, making me able to spot all the differences. There was alot more to the series than the movie

Loved the series, hated the movie.
In my opinion pro'est character (in the series): Hiro
That dude has one hell of a sense of humor

Avatar is Chinese therefore it doesn't quite count as anime.. -shrug-
Avatar is okay.
I don't keep up with it or anything but I watch it when it's on TV.

They only did the first book for the movie...which made it super lame.
AND THEY CHANGED SO MUCH THAT IT JUST TURNED INTO A MOFO'ING PIECE OF SHIT! D8

Well I'm sure that there's probably gonna be an Avatar two/three and four.
Theres too many episodes and too big of a storyline to cram into two/three hours

And then I will cap some bitch.

Anyway. Let's not talk about the movie here...ONLY THE ACTUAL SHOW.

@ Synful: "Avatar is Chinese therefore it doesn't quite count as anime.. -shrug-"
Your right, and I don't count it as anime. When I was growing up it wasn't played as an anime. It was played as a cartoon actually.
Hence why I can TECHNICALLY SAY, I still don't like anime. ._.
