Computer synthesizer software

Hey everybody
I was wondering if anyone could recommend decent computer DJ/computer synthesizer software
Any help will be greatly appreciated

DJ = Virtual DJ Home Edition
Synth = FL studio XXL

You'll just need a lot of patience to correctly learn FL studio, then it's one of the best program ever when it comes to creating/modifying music
