Post by Eaglemight » May 2nd, 2010, 8:16 am

Recently got some of her songs and they been stuck on replay for quite a long time. Likeee 1 month. Some of them are endless summer and everytime we touch. Dunno what genre it is tho. Techno or house I guess?

Honestly, I personally always had difficulty with properly categorising music, first of all because the 'perimeters' of each individual genre (or subgenre) are vaguely defined and open for discussion.
Secondly because the songs themselves are submitted to the opinion of different people, which, if perceived with an open mind, can lead to different options.

I have come to understand that Basshunter thinks his own music belongs too the 'euro-dance' genre. A genre which I do not think is very fitting. I did not check this fact yet, so do not take this as the truth right away, but its purpose here is to serve as an example of what I meant.

Cascada is nice, but I've heard her songs a little TOO much in my life, so I can't say I like them that much anymore. Tho I agree that her songs are good.

I'd say dance.
She's just like...an icon for vocal dance music.

and her best song/remix's is "You're the one that I want/Celebrate the summer"
.
