Because the data is based on user input, it's highly biased towards popular names over actual similarity. It pretty much only features the 1% of most known artists, and groups them close together.

It's interesting and a well done website but I just made a search for Infected Mushroom and it suggested Die Antwoord. Yes I know both, yes I love both group but it's a very different style of music, they have nothing in common.

I like that if you search for Cascada, it puts names like DJs @ Work and CJ Stone closer than Manian.

Also, apparently if you like Basshunter you are just as likely to enjoy Nightcore as you are to enjoy Tiësto :P
