Re: Tips for finding songs to nightcore?
I tried these tips, and they have helped me. Maybe they can help you find songs. 1. Know your EDM genres [/u] Don't assume that any song that sounds electronic is techno, and thus can be nightcored. (Yes, I have encountered people who think that today's electronic-sounding mainstream pop is techno.)...

After watching episode 35 of Pokemon XY, I'm definitely going with Hawlucha. Watch the episode if you haven't already. That thing is badass.

Re: What would make the forums more "fun"?
I know this thread is way old and I heard the admins don't really come here, but people and moderators still do come here, so I thought I'd share my idea. Many other forums give badges/awards to members for doing certain things. Such things usually include reaching a certain amount of posts or being...

Re: Nightcore Universe's Fifth Anniversary
I've seen many forums hand out badges or awards to members for certain things. I think it would be cool to give awards on NU for things like reaching a certain number of posts, being helpful, best nightcore, etc. Maybe it would give people more of an incentive to stay (instead of join, make a few po...

How the meaning of trademarks weaken overtime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaVy_QCa1RQ?t=2m36s Great video. Saw the whole thing. My favorite part was the part where he talks about Asprin because a similar thing is happening with nightcore, both are becoming generecized. Today, it seems like any ...

Re: TRance or techno artists?
If all songs sounded good in Nightcore, that would be true. You can't just Nightcore everything you find and churn them out by the dozen, then expect to become a big hit. Unfortunately, what's going on Youtube seems to be the opposite of this. People who churn out dozens of random "nightcored&...

Re: So what caused the rise of fake nightcores?
Then should one keep trying to explain to fake uploaders that they're wrong? Chances are slim they are going to listen. Last time I tried to explain to a somewhat popular channel holder, he told me 'it's nightcore, otherwise people wouldn't be a fan of me' It's quite bad out there. Yeah, same here ...

The Roman Forum was a public area where Romans could discuss things and events. It was for centuries the center of Roman public ...

I have friends irl who like techno, and on Youtube, techno is usually uploaded with anime pictures. However, none of them are into anime.
Plus, I've seen nightcore uploaders where not a single upload used an anime pic.

Re: The most important country in Nightcore?
I just stumbled upon this thread and found it interesting. Sorry for the bump, but I couldn't resist providing my input in here. I would say that Norway and the Netherlands are the two most important countries in nightcore. Norway because that's where the Nightcore group originates from. Netherlands...

Re: What is Nightcore?
Indeed, the same thought crossed my mind before. The only original songs that could have the lable 'Nightcore' -without being an edit of an already existing song- would be an original of the original Nightcore group. This is the flaw that could never make this kind of music a genre. You have made a...

Re: Anyone wants to subscribe?
I think what we want people like you to take away from this forum is that nightcore is a distinct genre, and it was originally meant to be a genre. It wasn't supposed to become a meme where you could use any song (like Alvin and Co.). Hence, there are rules regulating the nightcore content that gets...

Oh, I see. So in this case techno is the genre and nightcore is the sub-genre?
And also, I'm guessing that the pop and rock subculture refers to the fake nightcore?

Here's the di.fm announcement. https://i.imgur.com/6acVCA6.png Nightcore is a sub-genre of the internet age, taking Trance, Eurodance, and Hands Up from the early 2000s and pitching them up to 170BPM. YouTube played an important role in the success of this sound as well as the ease of access to tec...

Re: Nightcore radio station
So glad it's finally up! I checked it out and instantly got hooked.
I think that the fact that nightcore is being accepted on bigger music sites such as di.fm is helping it become established as its own distinct genre. It also seems to help in killing the support/spread of the fake nightcores.

That one from Kitashi is bossssssss. I think Kirby's post better summed up why other sped up genres aren't nightcore (especially the last sentence), for me at least. When a new song is produced, it is not simply known as "music." It is known as rap, techno, pop, folk.. whatever genre it s...

Re: image for nightcore channel
I like image 3 since it has a nighttime feel to it, and it looks the best out of the three in the OP. I think image 2 doesn't have enough variation in color, and the brown/orange color is too dull and bland for me. I think image 1 is too grim and violent for a style/genre about "happier sounds....

the state of the forum has changed over time. So far, NU in 2014 is not that bad compared to NU in 2012. This is true, then again the activity from now is like 5% from the activity I have seen in the older days, that might have somthing to do with it :) Those are good points. I also think that give...

Have you heard of the animes Initial D and Wangan Midnight? Initial D follows 18-year-old Takumi Fujiwara, a tofu delivery boy working for his family business. Re: Original Nightcore group's definition of nightcore?
I don't think there is a set definition of nightcore. The original nightcore group started out mixing techno/dance music, and they mentioned this in their websites. These quotes served as "guidelines" for people to make fan-made nightcore, and the very first nightcore uploaders made their ...

Well, sorry for necroposting in this thread, but I thought that a post like this was needed somewhere in the forums. Re: Nightcore on iTunes...Ugh...
Yeah, it can be annoying seeing fake nightcores being sold as actual nightcore. It's bad enough to simply call a speed edit nightcore. This is an example of what happens when people call any sped up song nightcore. Now those who know what nightcore really is and want songs to put on their Ipods woul...
